CHIPPEWA TWP. – Rep. Jim Marshall (R-Beaver/Butler) is inviting seniors of the 14th Legislative District and their families to attend a Senior Expo on Friday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Life Center of Chippewa United Methodist Church, located at
118 McMillen Ave., Beaver Falls.
Admission to the event is free and no reservations are necessary.
“If you or a loved one are age 55 or over, it will be well worth your time to attend this informative event,” Marshall said. “Dozens of exhibitors will be on hand to answer your questions and provide materials on topics and services important to seniors.”
In addition to information, the expo will feature a variety of free health screenings and on-site flu and pneumonia vaccines. Those planning on getting a flu shot during the expo should bring their Medicare or insurance information.
The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs’ mobile outreach van will be present to offer information and assistance to veterans who may be eligible for benefits.
Additionally, the Beaver County District Attorney’s Office will host a prescription drug collection at the expo, during which residents can drop off unneeded, unused or expired prescription drugs for proper disposal.
Lunch will be provided by area businesses, while supplies last. Marshall’s Senior Expo is sponsored by Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania and Edward Jones.
